CW Adds New Series, Churls, To Fall Lineup

The CW Network announced the latest addition to its Fall 2013 primetime lineup, Churls, a half-hour comedy-drama that follows an indifferent, detached group of unpleasant twenty-somethings as they live their lives in the isolation and loneliness of New York City.

Created by and starring Lenny Durham, whose breakthrough independent film Miniscule Decorations received positive reviews and multiple awards at film festivals in 2010, Churls chronicles the ups and (mostly) downs of main character Hank Hornblath, an aspiring graphic novelist, as he and his miserable misfit friends Markie, Jesse, and Shaun exist in an endless, self-fulfilling cycle of hostility, rejection, and ennui.

The show is scheduled to premiere in late September 2013 and to be canceled in early October 2013.
